Coordinator, Motion Picture Industry + Community Affairs

Minimum 2 years film production experience, preferably in the Locations or Production Coordinator departments.
Demonstrates a deep understanding of film and television production.
Demonstrates excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Able to manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SharePoint and Teams is an asset.

Coordinator, Motion Picture Industry + Community Affairs
Reporting to and working closely with the Manager, Motion Picture Industry + Community Affairs, the Coordinator is responsible for all day-to-day general administration and organization of specific files, initiatives and inquiries relevant to industry and community affairs, within the BC Film Commission at Creative BC.
As our Coordinator, Motion Picture Industry + Community Affairs, you’ll be working directly with…well…everyone – from productions, unions and studios through to the public as a consummate bridge and problem-solver. This individual collaborates with the broader department and with Creative BC’s entire team to deliver excellence in service and quality.
Together, we’re industry champions, we keep film sustainable in B.C., we maintain B.C.’s film friendliness, and we’re truly the first point of contact for…well…everyone inquiring about the industry – from international and domestic producers to businesses, to associations and industry, to governments, agencies and many, many other partners.
