SFX Makeup Instructor Wanted At Summer Sleepaway Camp

Long Lake Camp Adventures is a one-of-a-kind overnight summer camp tucked away in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of New York. We serve campers ages 7–16 who are hungry for adventure, creativity, and unforgettable experiences. We have an exciting opportunity for talented SFX artists like yourself!

We’re currently hiring for a SFX Makeup Instructor position for summer 2025. The role includes creating jaw-dropping SFX looks, teaching kids how to do the same, and helping run various parts of camp life. You’d also play a major role in our “Spooky Trail” haunted experience, which we host three times each summer—it’s a big deal for us, and we want someone who can bring the chills and thrills! Skills needed include mask making, wounds/prosthetics, latex work, face painting, etc.

Our goal is to build SFX into a full-day program, and we’re almost there. In the meantime, we’d love to train you as a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard (no prior experience needed), train you to work on our amazing high ropes course, or discuss other activities you think you can help with! The job can be intense, with long hours and the occasional challenge, but it’s also life-changing. You’ll leave with incredible friends, crazy stories, and memories that stick with you forever.
