ABOUT US:
Denise Elliott Beauty Co. is a welcoming studio to anyone, of any age, who is looking to feel better about the way they look. Our studio is located in North Vancouver at 129 Lonsdale Avenue. We offer a variety of services such as professional hairstyling, cut & colour, makeup applications for any event, weddings (mobile or in-studio) and makeup lessons & parties (in-studio or virtual). Our makeup and hair stylists are also available mobile whether it’s coming to the clients home, hotel room, office space or wherever they may need us to beautify them!
We are looking to strengthen our team at the studio by adding a Part Time Makeup Artist. This role would involve working at the studio on Saturdays, starting in early March, with the possibility for additional work on some Fridays and possibly Sundays. Working hours will be split between offering makeup applications and makeup lessons at the studio and off-site wedding makeup artist services.
EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES & OBLIGATIONS:
Performing full makeup applications for makeup appointments, lessons, workshops, bridal parties and classes;
Establish a look and execute high quality looks;
Involvement in teaching in our classes, group lessons and workshops;
Controlling stock – helping with the inventory orders for sales when it is quiet in Store;
Creating monthly marketing campaigns and social media advertising (offers, discounts, time of year promo, grad season, valentine’s day etc);
Assist with creating new looks for each season and creating group workshops and lessons teaching specific techniques;
Highly motivated and ambitious to keep gaining knowledge in the industry, maintaining your skills as an artist;
Involvement in introducing new products and services;
Reaching daily, monthly, quarterly targets/sales goals for services and products sold;
Tracking sales;
Build relationships with clients in order to create a customer clientele;
Cleaning and stocking stations;
Front desk duties: booking appointments, answering phone calls and emails.
Product knowledge is essential; and
Providing your own brushes for use in the Store
