Manicurist/ Pedicurist Needed

● A Diploma/Certificate as a Nail Technician, Aesthetician or equivalent (or graduating soon)
● 1+ years of experience as a nail technician/manicurist/pedicurist is required; a strong willingness
to learn and grow as a professional is also key to succeeding in this role.
● Natural communicator, passionate about delivering quality (vs. quantity) and building excellent
relationships with clients.
● Experience working with the elderly, children, or clients with pre-existing medical conditions (ex.
diabetes) is an asset.
● Experience working in customer service, hospitality, or health/wellness would be an asset.
● Experience in delivering any other beauty services, such as waxing, massages or facials, would
be a bonus.
● Strong verbal communication skills, and additional knowledge of Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog,
Vietnamese or any other language would be considered an asset to serve Vancouver’s
multicultural clientele.
● Minimum 24 hours/week commitment (Part-Time position)
The ideal candidate is self-motivated and takes a genuine interest in the overall well-being of clients. They
are passionate about the holistic approach to wellness and actively use and advocate for our products.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable demeanour are a must.
This is a part-time position with a 24 hours/week commitment and a pay scale of $16.00-$19.00 per hour,
dependent on experience. The spa operates Tuesday to Saturday, with Sundays and Mondays off.
Position responsibilities:
● Perform high-quality manicure and pedicure services, including cuticle care, nail shaping, gel and
regular polish application. (No experience with acrylics, hard gel applications or extensions
required).
● Follow health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
● Create a positive experience and atmosphere for the client by providing exceptional customer
service and building strong relationships.
● Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques in the manicure and pedicure industry and be
willing to learn new skills to adjust to the standards of the spa.
● Welcome clients in a warm, friendly manner, accompany them to and from treatment rooms and
thank them sincerely on departure.
● Demonstrate punctuality, and good time management skills, work as a team, assist other
members when necessary, and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with services
provided.
● Have strong knowledge of hand/foot care and be able to recommend appropriate products and
services to clients based on their individual needs.
● Promote and sell services and products to clients, and assist with booking appointments and
processing payments as needed.
