The Last Resort
An immersive theatre experience directed by Andy Garland this November at the Waldorf in Vancouver.
Set in a purgatory masquerading as a 1970’s tropical hotel, audience members experience one night in eternity at The Last Resort, where immortal bartenders and ethereal showgirls cater to the needs of their mortal guests, who are vying to either escape the confines of the Resort… or surrender to its temptations and drink themselves into oblivion.
The Last Resort is, effectively, a movie you can walk through. Instead of a traditional play set upon a single stage, our show takes place within three interconnected tiki bars within the Waldorf Hotel, allowing audience members to follow whatever characters they wish as the play goes on, and every audience member will experience the show differently depending on who they follow and where they choose to explore. Share a dance with Death, listen to the Hermit’s strange stories, swap souls with the Devil, and maybe even discover a forbidden love story or two.
Performances run on November 10th, 17th and 24th, with both matinee and evening shows.
